Yesterday a lady contacted me who wants a Longhair Dachshund Puppy. I gave her the info about our waiting list and then she offered me an amount of up to R10 000 to be added to the top of the waiting list. I immediately “stripped my moer”… how unfair will it be towards those people first on the waiting list, already waiting 5-6 months for a puppy… just because a dishonest person with too much money wants to buy her way open to get what she wants as soon as possible. This is one thing that makes me very mad! I will not accept bribes so that anyone can get want they want and in the process being unfair towards the people who is already waiting for months for a puppy.
While taking my quiet time this morning to get my thoughts, concerns and choices that I have to make in line with Fairness, Psalm 58 came to my mind. I read it from the The Passion Translation and look at this:
“God’s justice? You high and mighty politicians know nothing about it! Which one of you has walked in justice toward others? Which one of you has treated everyone right and fair? Not one! You only give “justice” in exchange for a bribe. For the right price you let others get away with murder.”
Psalms 58:1-2 TPT
So there is the confirmation that I wasn’t in the wrong. I will never accept an extra amount of money from those you want to buy their way open so they can get what they want. If I suspect something like this, I will immediately remove this person from my waiting list and under no circumstances will I sell a puppy to these people. Again… we do what we do out of our love for dogs, not for the money. We live our passion, and our main focus is breeding healthy puppies and placing them in homes where they belong… to spread love, joy and happiness to those who need it. It takes me back to my motto that the Creator gave me and Inus this crazy next-level love for animals to fulfil part of our purpose on earth.
